Tolla’s

One of Kevin’s good childhood friends was in town for a wedding last weekend and stayed with us. We met up with some other friends and all grabbed dinner late Friday evening to kick off the weekend. Don’t worry, I got a Venti pumpkin spice latte in anticipation of staying awake past my bedtime.

We headed out to dinner at Tolla’s, a small Winter Park Italian Restaurant. It’s a very cute little restaurant that only serves beer and wine. They offer typical Italian favorites. We started out with a big pile of warm, crusty bread.

Since we got there pretty late, they were out of a few menu items for the day. Since they were out of mussels, I decided to order a meatball sub.

The meatballs were very moist and had a nice texture compared to the toasted bread.

Kevin ordered a pepperoni pizza, which he really enjoyed.

Everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals, and I liked the quaint atmosphere of Tolla’s.

I forgot to mention some important celebrations that happened recently! Last Thursday, Kevin and I celebrated our 3-year dating anniversary. I still keep trying to figure out if you’re supposed to celebrate dating anniversaries after you’re married. Kevin bought me a bottle of Quintessa (the wine he used to propose) and we just enjoyed a nice, quiet evening together.

Also, last Saturday, Parko turned 4! He’s really not a puppy anymore, even though his eyes beg to differ. He was showered with toys, treats and attention.

What is your policy on dating anniversaries after marriage?

  1. oh man, that meatball sub looks amazing!

  2. Happy anniversary! I think you should definitely keep up your anniversary celebrations. :)

  3. Happy Anniversary! I say keep celebrating! That is what we are planning to do. Our 7 year anniversary is coming up next month and I feel like we need to celebrate because we have been together for those many years. We might as well do something fun :)

  4. I always get so hungry when I read your blog!

We don’t celebrate our dating anniversary anymore, but we did when we were engaged. I do mention the date every year – but with everything else going on, it’s lucky we remember to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I would like to do something when we’ve been together 20 years (that’s only 4.5 years from now! Crazy!). That seems like a big deal.

happy anniversary! my husband and i usually acknowledge the dating anniversary but we don’t celebrate, we just celebrate our wedding anniversary! To be honest, sometimes we don’t even remember anymore when the dating anniversary passes by! haha!

  6. Hi Jessica, I was wondering if you can help me with my blog. I have WordPress but I can’t figure out how to add the widget so people can subscribe to my blog post. I even tried reading WordPress For Dummies but apparently and more of a dummy than I thought. :-p

    Thanks!!!

    • Hi Angela! Log into your dashboard and on the left side go to Apperance then Widgets. Add the Follow Blog widget to one of your sidebars or whatever area you want it to appear. You’ll need to name it (that’s what will display on your blog page). Hope that helps!

  7. Wow all of that food looks absolutely incredible!
