Fall is my favorite season. It’s my, Kevin’s and Parko’s birthday season, full of football, and the beginning of the holidays. And I’m getting antsy for it to get here already. Signs are already in the air, particularly emphasized by the fact that pumpkin-flavored everything is hitting stores.

I have to drink pumpkin spice lattes hot. They’re just not the same iced. Even when it is in the 80s. And yes, pumpkin spice swirl bread is pretty fantastic. I just can’t wait for pumpkin pie gelati to hit Jeremiah’s!
Even though pumpkin spice is in the air, it’s still as hot out as ever in Central Florida. I really miss the leaves changing colors and full months of crispness in the air. I would just love to get outside for a run on a cool fall day. Sometimes I think temperatures are dropping then I realize that I’m just sitting next to an A/C vent. My poor running shoes haven’t seen the outdoors in quite some time.

Since I started working out in the mornings, all of my runs have occurred indoors. I’m way too much of a chicken to go run by myself in downtown Orlando at 5 in the morning. I’m just a wimp. Although the fear of every dark road would probably make me run faster.
I used to hate the treadmill, but I’ve learned to appreciate it for what it is: a quick and easy way for me to get cardio in a controlled climate. I’ve also learned some ways to make the time pass faster. Why do treadmill runs get so boring?
- Treadmill workouts-Specifically ones that change inclines and/or speeds a lot. Time flies when I’m too focused on pushing buttons and timing everything correctly.
- Podcasts-Fitness podcasts are entertaining while motivational. My favorites lately have been Jillian Michaels (although the voice of her producer irritates the crap out of me) and Ben Greenfield.
- Controversial TV-This is particularly helpful now during election season. Basically watch the news and get ticked off by opposing views, the violence going on around the world or how stupid Central Florida criminals are, and just let that adrenaline push your through the run. I used to hate watching local news, but as long as I have a channel where my frustrations with it can be displaced, it can be pretty entertaining.
These will have to tie me over until February when fall hits Orlando.
This fall is particularly exciting because it means our wedding is even more quickly approaching! We just sent out our invitations, and check out the stamps we used. You know we had to incorporate Parko somehow.

It’s been really fun watching RSVPs come in. We even got our first gifts delivered today. It’s all approaching so quickly!
What is your favorite part of fall?

My favorite part of Fall would have to be that it’s the BER months and you know what BER months mean for Filipinos… Christmas is approaching!! Haha! The pumpkin spice swirl bread sounds / looks sooo good, i don’t think i’ve seen that available here but i’m gonna have to keep my eyes peeled for it!
Definitely the availability of pumpkin everything! I can’t wait to start enjoying pumpkin-spiced coffee and lattes in the morning!
I haven’t ran since I ran a half-marathon back in the beginning of August. I’m ashamed to say but I doubt I’ll be running again until next Spring. I would rather spend my time biking or at the gym.
My favorite part of fall is all of the pumpkin flavored things and the leaves changing colors. I also like going apple picking!
I can’t believe you sent out your invitations already!! Your wedding is around the corner. So happy for you
Woo hoo for pumpkin! I cannot wait to make pumpkin oatmeal.
I’ve never listened to a fitness podcast sounds fun!!!!! That pumpkin bread looks incredible!
aww! I love your stamps
Amen for those interval treadmill workouts. They really do make time fly by!
I love the brisk weather and being able to open the windows. I agree that pumpkin coffees are better hot. They just taste off when they are cold. That bread looks tasty!
