I have finally officially signed up to take my GMAT. (Hopefully) come March, I’ll be free from studying. I didn’t think it was possible, but now that I’m working toward a hard date, I feel even more pressure and slightly panicked. I’m hoping that feeling subsides as the date gets closer.

I’ve been consistently studying in the evenings after work and a lot on weekends. It’s still difficult to juggle everything, but I think I’m just getting used to always being tired.

I mentioned that I started doing Bodyrock in order to try to fit in workouts better, and some of you seemed interested. Boy, is it tough!

The workouts are great because they’re very quick but extremely intense. I have been doing the workouts of their 30-day challenge in order but not on consecutive days. On days that I have time for longer workouts, I switch away from Bodyrock. I’ve been really enjoying incorporating them with my normal routine, and they’re great for when I’m short on time. I don’t know if I have the stamina to do them day after day just because they’re so intense.

Do you prefer shorter or longer workouts?

  1. Woo for registering for the GMAT! I bet you’ll do great :)

Bodyrock sounds interesting. I obviously don’t mind longer workouts! I’m OK with shorter workouts as long as they are intense.

  2. YEY! How awesome that you took the big step and signed up! I’m sure you will tear that exam to pieces.

Bodyrock is really great on a time crunch, but I’m glad that you’re making sure to switch it up with other things too. We alllll know what happened to me when I tried to do the challenge… haha ;)

  3. Yay for having a date in mind – that always helps with goals. Let us know how you like the bodyrock – and aren’t her abs SICK?

  4. You sound so busy, Jess! I can’t imagine working AND studying for such a major exam at the same time. All your hard for is going to pay off! As for workouts, aside from long runs, I prefer short intense workouts so I can get in and out of the gym in no time!

  5. I hope all of your hard studying will pay off soon!! You seem really busy with work, studying and everything else that you’re doing. So I’m going to wish you the best of luck.

I actually love shorter workout because it is shorter and I can get a good workout in at the same time. :)

  6. Taking those tests is always soooo fun… I seriously usually can’t sit up after I do a body rock workout. I usually choose to do like the 1000 rep ones. They’re such a fun torture!! Haha. I’ve been picking & choosing a few to do from the challenge, but it’s hard to fit in with running and other workouts.

  7. I love longer workouts because it lets me get in my zone, but short workouts are great when you’re short on time (and totally kick your butt!). Good luck studying for the GMAT!

  8. I prefer longer workouts but sometimes if I don’t have the time I go for short, cause at least it’s something you know? Makes me feel better.

  9. I love shorter workouts! I am very intrigued by BodyRock. It definitely sounds like something I’d enjoy!

  10. I don’t mind longer (1 hour) workouts when they are classes, but on my own I prefer shorter workouts (lack of motivation!). I start a new fitness program tomorrow and the classes are 45 minutes a day, so that should be about perfect for me.

I just started checking this out…I’m doing body pump/kettleworx right now but would like to do this next. I am definitely a short workout girl now that I work so long. back in college I would be in the gym forever cuz I loved it so much : )
