With a little help

I haven’t been able to cook as much or as elaborately lately since I started studying, so tonight’s dinner was courtesy of Williams Sonoma. Every time I venture into Williams Sonoma, I just want to buy everything.

I picked up a bottle of Williams Sonoma’s Bolognese sauce. It’s definitely more expensive than the jar sauce at Publix, but it sounded delicious.

I knew the sauce would be tasty when I poured it into the pot. It was very thick and chunky.

I paired the sauce with pasta from Publix.

Our appetizer was also from Williams Sonoma. My boss bought me their dipping oils for Christmas, and I was very excited to try them out.

olive oils

I’m pretty sure these are going to up my bread consumption drastically. I tried the pesto flavor tonight, and it was flavorful and had a slight kick from chili flakes. You could tell that the olive oil was high quality, and it was just as delicious as what you’d find in any nice Italian restaurant.

I would consider dinner a success and minimal cooking skills were required. The Bolognese sauce was really good. There was a lot of spices, and it was definitely a step up from the jar sauces I usually buy.

Dessert was also made with a little help…this time from Pillsbury.

I’m such a sucker for cookies straight out of the oven.

  1. Definitely store bought pasta sauces! I can never get as smooth and delicious of a texture on my own so I’m cool with bought! Also, salad dressing!

  2. Life's a Bowl

Dressing up a frozen meal or making breakfast for dinner are usually our go-to quick, yet satisfying, dinners :) We bought a crock pot a few weeks back that I’ve only used once but should start using more to save time after work, just gotta take the extra time in the morning prepping everything…

  3. Store bought pasta sauce then I throw in a little cheese and pepperoni. Easy and tasty!

  4. Spaghetti sauce is one of those things I always take the shortcut on. Newman’s own is my all-time fave, but I bet a fancier brand would be even more awesome.

  5. Man oh man pesto dipping oil sounds phenomenal.

My favorite shortcut would have to be roasting veggies from frozen bags– so easy, but still great when I don’t have time to chop up fresh veggies

  6. That sauce sounds delicious and so do the dipping oils! I love Williams Sonoma! :)

Jarred sauce is one of my must-have’s in my house. It’s so quick to throw dinner together. My favorite is Newman’s Vodka Sauce. So good.

  7. Those dinner oils look divine! I’ve never actually bought one myself and also go to stores to sample a few (er, many)!

  8. Your dinner look fantastic! Also that bread dipping oil look amazing. I would eat so much bread if I have those dipping oil on hands. Haha. :)

  9. Those oils look to die for. I can only imagine sitting down with a fresh loaf of Italian bread and those oils. The bread would be gone in minutes!

  10. I love dipping oils, they’re such a great way to spice up apps & stuff before a meal.
