I used to give Kevin a hard time because he never knew how I prefer my eggs. In his defense, I don’t always order my eggs the same way. In my defense, I do feel like knowing how your significant other prefers his/her eggs is just one of those things you’re supposed to know.
For the record, my favorite way to take my eggs is over medium with a dipper or something to mix the yolk with. Hard boiled comes at a close second.
Over the weekend, Kevin decided to give my favorite eggs a whirl and fried up two perfectly yolky eggs for my breakfast. In a random decision, I decided to take them over some leftover kale.

I tossed the kale with olive oil and sprinkled it with garlic powder. After Kevin transferred the eggs, I sprinkled some cheddar cheese on top. The combination was delicious and kept me full well into lunch. The runny yolk made the perfect salad dressing, and it was a great high-protein breakfast. I can’t wait to try this combination again. I think it will be on regular rotation.
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten for breakfast?

When I was younger I used to have chocolate chip cookies and cool whip for breakfast
it was a special treat with my mom!
I’ve eaten some of the strangest things for breakfast…among those being leftover Thai food, fried rice, noodles, and birthday cake.
Gahh I miss my eggs
I used to have eggs practically every morning for breakfast until I was diagnosed with an allergy to egg whites. You can only imagine my depression!
The weirdest thing I’ve ever had for breakfast is probably cold pizza or something haha. Hey, leftovers are always good!
That actually looks like an interesting breakfast. I’d be willing to try it!
I used to eat chocolate chip bars by Tastycake every single morning before school for breakfast. Not exactly the best thing to have. I was always starving an hour later and had to wait several to eat lunch.
I never had salad for breakfast before-it just never appeal to me to have it in the morning. However, yours look really good. I love runny eggs in salad.
The strangest thing that I had for breakfast was maybe a meal replacement bar a very long time ago (before I changed my eating habits).
I’ve never had a salad for breakfast before, I prefer sweet breakfasts and savory lunches and dinners.
But the strangest thing I’ve eaten for breakfast is probably cold pizza, or a sandwich with turkey deli meat, cream cheese and an egg.
That breakfast looks really good, it could also work for lunch or dinner. I love meals that work any time of day.
Being Polish, I eat a lot of things for breakfast that are normal in Poland, but looked at strangely here, like boiled kielbasa. Other than that, I tend to stay with more traditional breakfasts foods, like eggs, pancakes, and oats.
Yumm I love eggs on salad!! I would probably eat it for lunch or dinner though.
This totally reminded me of Runaway Bride, where she always orders her eggs the way her SO likes them. I think there are certain things a SO definitely needs to know…thankfully mine has down the basics – i.e. how I take my coffee and what milk I drink!
Well my family is from Turkey, so I guess the strangest thing I’ve ever had for breakfast is lamb’s brain with tomatoes, olives, bread and fruit…..
I constantly eat dinner foods for breakfast and vice versa. I don’t discriminate when it comes to food.
The beginning of this post reminded me of Runaway Bride, where Julia Roberts doesn’t know which kind of eggs she likes
Cake for breakfast is probably the “weirdest” or least traditional breakfast I have ever had. I admittedly have a huge sweet tooth! Now days I satisfy it with a bowl of Kellogg’s FiberPlus(R) cereal instead.
I love, love eggs on a salad. I like to poach my eggs. I make a salad dressing by frying one piece of bacon, then combining a little of the left-over bacon drippings with brown sugar, salt and pepper, and a balsamic vinegar when the bacon dripping are still hot. Add a little goat cheese, toasted nuts, and the bacon and you’ve got lunch.
Breakfast – I’m all over the place.
I actually love fried eggs over top of veggies – a la skillet. It’s such a yummy change up from scrambled (which is how Shane likes his eggs!)
the weirdest thing she’s ever eaten for breakfast was cow brain. The weirdest thing I’ve ever eaten for breakfast was super spicy hot tamales. OOO SIZZLE!!
