Kevin’s and my favorite barbeque place in Central Florida is Four Rivers Smokehouse. The line at their Winter Park location can get pretty long, but it tends to move rather quickly. The other evening, we called in a pick-up order to eat at home so we could avoid waiting in line.
Kevin ordered their brisket dinner. Their brisket is so tender and flavorful.
My favorite thing about all the platters at Four Rivers is choosing the sides. They have a long list to choose from. I love their cheese grits, fried okra and corn bread salad.
Speaking of corn bread salad…
That’s all I wanted. Usually I opt for the pulled pork platter with a side of corn bread salad, but I just decided to get a regular order of the salad, which is by far, my favorite thing on their menu. It’s chopped lettuce, peppers, onions, bacon and chunks of corn bread tossed with roasted tomato dressing.
I love all the yummy ingredients in the salad and it’s massive. The soft corn bread soaks up all the dressing and makes the salad really hearty. I was noshing on leftovers the whole next day.

Be My Bridesmaid Funfetti cakes! My sister is my Maid of Honor, and I asked my two friends from college to be my bridesmaids. I’m so excited that my three best friends will be standing next to me on my wedding day!

Girl, I need to hang out at your house because you eat at the best places. I’ve never been to 4 Rivers yet, but it’s on my list. My work did have it catered once and it was not good. I’m thinking catering is not the way to go at that place.
Oh, and boxed cake flavor…I found this new Duncan Hines Cinnamon Swirl cake mix…holy moly….so good.

I have so many friends who go nuts over Four Rivers! I’ve never been there personally, but it is definitely something that I need to do before I leave Orlando (if/when that ever does happen haha)

When I drove by Four Rivers there was a line almost to the street! I heard it was good, but that’s a ridiculous wait for BBQ. I want to try it sometime, though.

So this may be a stupid question since you said you’re a Gator, but have you been to Dragonfly Sushi?? To this day, it’s still my favorite sushi restaurant. And I heard they have one in Orlando now. Man, I wish I didn’t live in Ohio now!
Yes! We recently tried out the Dragonfly in Orlando, and it was very, very good, but definitely not the same as the Gainesville version. It’s a lot pricier and a lot more posh. It’s in a really nice area of town, so I think it caters to that crowd as opposed to poor college students. But I still really enjoyed it and would definitely return!
Cool!! That’s good to know … I was wondering if it was similar to Gainesville’s Dragonfly. As long as the sushi is good, though … that’s the best part about Dragonfly! I could take or leave the funky music and upscale look … I just love the food!
