Chilly Spoons

I am extremely lucky because my two best friends from college have finally both ended up in Orlando. My friends Megan and Sarah both recently moved to town, and I’ve been having a blast having them near.

(This is from a couple years ago.)

The other evening, the three of us took a little walk to Thornton Park for my first trip to Chilly Spoons. It’s your typical frozen yogurt bar with rotating flavors and a plethora of goodies to top them with.

I have slightly bizarre froyo habits. I love frozen yogurt, but I never really crave more than a little bit of it. That’s why these froyo bars are the best. I can get just a small sampling to satisfy the craving. I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than $2 for frozen yogurt at one of these places.

They had pumpkin flavor, but surprisingly I refrained. I was in the mood for something more fruity and sour, so I got their mixed berry tart froyo with strawberries, raspberries and snow caps. I was very happy with my sweet and sour concoction. And it was the perfect amount!

What is your favorite froyo combo? I’m also a pretty big fan of adding gummy bears.

  1. Not sure how your refrained from the pumpkin flavor, but now you’ve got me craving froyo!!

  2. I go for any flavor(s) I am in the mood for and then always have to have copious amounts of sprinkles, a cereal, reeses pieces and fruit :)

  3. Frozen yogurt is one of the best things everrr! :) I love trying different flavors everytime I go get some froyo. My favorite are the plain kind and the peanut butter flavor :) And I’ll top it with anything sweet! :D

  4. WHAT! No pumpkin!? I went out for yogurt yesterday and was so upset to see that there weren’t any pumpkin flavors :(

Anyway, I’m glad you’re close to your friends in Orlando! I’ve been loving reconnecting with my old friend this weekend too

  5. I can still see the bottom of your froyo cup. You know that’s breaking a cardinal rule in froyo law, right? :-)
