Earth Day

I had the day off work today and discovered that Starbucks is offering a free brewed coffee or tea to anyone who brings in a reusable mug or tumbler in celebration of Earth Day. You can also purchase one there for 20 percent off today. You can read more about their Earth Day celebration on Starbucks’ blog.

I headed over to Starbucks this morning after the gym since they share a parking lot. I opted for an iced green tea, and they filled my reusable tumbler to the brim. I had plenty to sip on all morning through all of my errands. I also got three mini petite vanilla bean scones. I love their scones, but I only ate one and saved the rest for when my sweet tooth kicks in. I love how buttery and light their scones are, and the petite ones are a perfect snack.

On a side note, the tumbler I’m using today is a free gift I received for signing up for Café Express.  If you have a K-Cup coffee maker, I highly recommend signing up. It’s free and there’s a large selection of coffee, teas and hot chocolate flavors, and they automatically deliver to you at any given interval you prefer.

After Starbucks, I headed to Publix. I normally do my grocery shopping for the week every Sunday, but Publix will be closed this Sunday due to Easter. Publix is recognizing Earth Day as well. If you bring a reusable shopping bag, you receive a keychain. I’m not a huge keychain person, but I thought it was super cute.

My cashier said their store only received 100 of them, so supply may be limited depending on your store.

Now I think I’m going to take Parko out to celebrate Earth Day by going out for a nice walk and enjoying the beautiful Orlando weather. Happy Earth Day!
